120 Hours Work Placement
At ViewJobs Academy, the Level 3 Individual Support course equips you with the skills and knowledge to provide personalized care and empower individuals to live fulfilling lives.
Designed for those passionate about aged care or disability support, this program prepares you to work in residential or community settings where your impact will be truly meaningful.
The course includes a hands-on Work Placement component, allowing you to build practical experience and confidence in real-world caregiving situations.
Upon completion, you’ll be ready to pursue fulfilling roles such as personal care assistants, support workers, or home care aides.
With these skills, you’ll not only be prepared for a stable and in-demand career but also have the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of the elderly and individuals with disabilities.
Additional Requirements for Working in Individual Support
In addition to completing the Level 3 Individual Support, there may be additional requirements to work in aged care or disability support:
First Aid Certification: A current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certification ensures you are prepared to handle emergencies.
Manual Handling Training: Proper training in lifting and moving techniques is essential for ensuring the safety of both clients and caregivers.
Police Check: A National Police Clearance is typically required to confirm your suitability for working with vulnerable individuals.
Working With Children Check (WWCC): If your role involves supporting younger clients, a WWCC may be necessary.
Vaccinations: Proof of vaccinations, such as flu or COVID-19, is often mandatory, particularly for aged care roles. Meeting these requirements, alongside your training, will position you as a well-rounded and employable professional in the aged care and disability support industry.
